Ferdousa Chowdhury Integrative Counselling Psychotherapist (MBACP)
MSc, PG Dip, PG Cert and BA (Hon’s)
I hold a Masters of Science, Post Graduate Diploma, Post Graduate Certificate in Integrative Psychotherapy & Counselling, a BA (Hon’s) degree, and a certificate in Islamic counselling. I am registered with the British Association for counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP).
I follow the BACP code of ethics and practise and have Professional indemnity insurance.
As a Psychotherapist and Counsellor,I have a wealth of mental health experience working with organisations that require me to utilise languages such as Bengali and Urdu. I work amongst diverse communities such as the BME (Black Ethnic Minority), as well as a NHS staff support counsellor and a Primary/ secondary School therapist.
Being an Integrative Psychotherapist means that rather than working to only one psychological theory I build my work around each of my clients based on their individual needs. My work is with adults both short and long term and is all based on offering a warm, safe and confidential space in which my client and I can explore their experience with sincerity and compassion.
My work is clinically supervised, undertaken with appropriate confidentiality, and I keep up to date in my field with continual professional development.
